At the end of April, the entire staff of Huber & Ranner in China participated in a teambuilding trip to Shandong province. The itinerary included a visit to the company’s newest production facility in Xintai as well as enjoying fun & activities together in the iconic seaside city of Qingdao.

Stop 1: Huber & Ranners New Factory

On April 26, the staff from Huber & Ranner visited the new factory in the city of Xintai, which has become the fourth global production site for Huber & Ranner.

The Shandong factory has been listed as a provincial key project by the government. The production area of the first phase of the development is 10,000m'2. Huber & Ranner’s high-end quality Air Handling Units are already being manufactured inside this new facility. In addition, the new facility is producing finned coil heat exchangers for use in Huber & Ranner AHU’s – marking the first time Huber & Ranner has produced its own coils. The second phase of the site development plans includes a further 60 acres of construction land to expand the production capacity of Huber & Ranner for the Asia Pacific region even further.

In the evening after the factory tour, the delegation were treated to a special outdoor “glamping” dinner experience, enjoying a nice evening together under the stars complete with Barbecue, Beer and Karaoke.

Stop 2: Qingdao City

The next morning the Huber & Ranner team set off towards Qingdao. They first visited the Olympic Sailing Centre Museum located in the harbor, which was an important venue for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and the 13th Paralympic Sailing Competition.

After enjoying the view from the marina just outside, the colleagues took a couple of sailboats for a small cruise in the bay, admiring the slightly misty Qingdao skyline.

In addition to experiencing a handful of seaside activities, Qingdao Old Town, Zhanqiao, Laoshan, Qingdao Cathedral and Tsingtao Brewery were also much-loved stops on the trip.

This teambuilding trip was the first group trip for the company after the three-year pandemic. Throughout the trip there was valuable interaction between people who previously did not know each other, leading to stronger internal relationships. As Huber & Ranner continues to grow into a bigger company, we know the value of incorporating such “silo-breaking” social activities into our company culture.
